What leaves your computer
Last updated 16 September 2026
Fenrir is designed so that almost everything stays on your PC. Below is the complete list of every external connection the application makes.
| Destination | Purpose | Contains stream or viewer data? |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok | The LIVE connection, plus the public gift catalogue and gift images | Yes — it is TikTok's own public stream |
| Euler Stream (third party) | Signs the connection before it opens (requires your free Euler key) | No — only the signing request |
| fenrirapp.com (us) | Version check on every launch and in Settings; licence check only if a key or sign-in is used | No — the version check carries only the version number |
| Microsoft (Edge online voices) | Text-to-speech, on by default | Yes — the text being spoken, which can include a viewer's name or chat message. Switch to Windows' offline voices in Settings to send nothing |
| GitHub | Only when you choose to download and install an update | No |
| PaperMC, Adoptium, Thunderstore | Only when you choose to install the Minecraft server or Valheim's BepInEx | No |
| Plutonium and IW7-Mod websites | Opened in your own browser only — Fenrir never downloads them | No |
What never leaves your computer
- Stream events and gift data, once they are received
- Triggers, keybinds, and action lists
- Points balances, levels, and viewer handles and display names
- Overlay configuration (the overlay itself is served from your PC)
- Activity logs, error logs, and feedback reports
- Your settings
There is no Fenrir analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting service. We cannot see your stream, your viewers, or how you use the application. Everything above lives in %APPDATA%\Fenrir; deleting that folder removes it.
