Fenrir is designed so that almost everything stays on your PC. Below is the complete list of every external connection the application makes.
Optional BO2 Gift revive reads down/alive state from the game script over loopback RCON on your PC. Native nonce, epoch, player and session identifiers remain in memory and are not published or retained. Its overlay displays your chosen gifts, target and progress through the existing local overlay and optional cloud-mirroring behavior. It adds no account or external provider destination and does not automatically upload native telemetry.

Earlier editor and streaming implementations
Stream Studio and Video Editor are not included in the current desktop beta. The details below are retained for people using earlier implementations or keeping their files; they do not describe included features or guarantee how a future release will work.
- Video projects, source-file references, imported captions, previews and exported videos are processed and saved on your PC. Editing does not upload your footage to Fenrir. Automatic caption generation and its runtime setup remain disabled.
- When you start a Stream Studio output, Fenrir sends the selected video and audio directly to the destination you configured, including each extra destination you enable. That service receives your broadcast and connection information under its own policy; the broadcast does not pass through Fenrir's website. It can include your screen, microphone, and viewer names or chat shown in overlays.
- Browser sources load the sites you add. Those sites can receive your network address and their normal web requests. Review each source before showing it on stream; use trusted sites and keep private information off screen.
- Studio scenes, collections and destination settings are local. They can name the windows, applications, cameras and web addresses you use. Saved stream keys and protocol credentials use Windows account protection. A destination receives the credentials needed to connect; do not share keys, private backups or screenshots containing them.
- Recordings and saved replays go to Videos\Fenrir unless you choose another folder. Optional highlight clips use its Highlights folder, with a notes file containing the event, viewer name and time. These files stay local unless you share them; delete them like any other files.
- The encoder check stores graphics-card names, driver versions and encoder results locally. The optional Virtual Camera passes the Studio picture to another app through Windows memory. That receiving app may record or share it. The camera keeps a technical log with process details, picture size and your Windows account security ID; it rotates after roughly 256 KiB. The log does not contain video frames.
What stays local unless you choose to share it
- Stream events and gift data, once they are received
- Triggers, keybinds, action lists, and per-overlay display names
- Backups of actions, triggers and keybind configuration saved locally before applying a gift and keybind preset
- The local trigger backup saved before Remove all gifts; it stays beside the selected game's trigger file with a .before-remove-gifts suffix
- GTA mode commands and short-lived viewer-name packets written locally for the Story Mode plugin; optional add-on file paths and hotkey settings
- Points balances, levels, and viewer handles and display names
- Which viewers have been seen with your fan club badge, and when (only if you use members-only chat for speech)
- Overlay configuration (the overlay itself is served from your PC)
- Activity logs, error logs, and feedback reports
- Pokémon FireRed and Emerald: the ROM you select is read on your PC and a separate patched copy is written there, plus the remembered location of that copy. Original ROMs are not modified, and no ROM is uploaded or distributed by Fenrir
- Generated speech audio in the local tts-cache folder, which can contain spoken viewer names or chat messages
- Stream profiles, brand kits, session reports, recording references, highlight choices, game-recognition examples, and phone pairing records stay on your PC. Shared creation exports contain only reviewed setup data; private backups can contain more, so review them before sharing.
- Viewer profile-picture addresses are stored locally for Rankings. Displaying a picture requests it from TikTok. Ranking records may contain viewer names and standings; they are separate from the points file.
- Your settings and saved game-folder locations
- Saved stream credentials are encrypted on your PC and used only for the destination you choose.
Stream Studio and Video Editor are not included in the current desktop beta. Use OBS, TikTok LIVE Studio or another compatible app to broadcast; that app handles your stream. Fenrir's overlay editing and game interactions are separate features. Details about earlier streaming implementations are retained below for users who still have those files.
The app has no general usage analytics or automatic crash reporting. Joining a Creator Network shares aggregate stream activity with your agency as described above. Streamer rankings are disabled for this release; no ranking reports are submitted. We can also receive a diagnostics report you choose to send from Settings, after seeing what is in it, and a bug report or feature idea you send from the Feedback page. Local copies live in %APPDATA%\Fenrir Desktop Beta\engine-data; deleting that folder removes those copies, but does not remove reports already sent. Before an update installs, Fenrir also keeps a copy of the version you had in a Fenrir-previous folder beside its install folder. That copy never leaves your PC.
Optional Discord bot purchases and games
These records belong to the hosted Discord bot and website, rather than desktop game activity. A one-server lifetime bot purchase stores the server ID, buyer account ID and email, price/amount/currency, Stripe checkout and payment identifiers, checkout reservation, payment mode, status and timestamps in Neon. Card details stay with Stripe. The purchase does not upgrade the desktop app.
Chess, checkers, Trail Race and the original Fenrir Pack Clash card game are available on the public bot. Pack Clash card counts and decks are stored by Discord server/member ID in Neon, together with the last six-hour expedition claim time, interaction ID and result. The last receipt is replaced on the next successful claim. There are no currency wagers, cash redemption or paid combat advantages.
Unfinished matches stay in bot memory and cancel on restart or after 20 minutes without a move; invitations expire sooner. Boards and invitations are visible to readers of their Discord channel. Hands are sent privately as ephemeral Discord responses; hands and active deck order are not saved to Neon. Removing the bot keeps saved collections and decks. Use the contact address on our Terms page to request deletion, subject to required payment/accounting retention.
Community progression also stores server/member IDs, verified game results and quest claims, cosmetic wolf names/styles/XP, raid participation, project donations/refunds, cosmetic purchase receipts, and tournament entrants, pairings, deadlines and champions. Game and quest history is eligible for cleanup after 90 days; champion publication staging after one day. Cosmetic ownership, project and play-coin ledgers, raid and bracket records remain until an authorized reset or deletion request. Owed project refunds are not automatically discarded. These records exclude private hands, chat history and cash wagers.
Optional Discord stream celebrations
Where this feature is enabled, server publication and desktop listening are separate opt-ins. The bot sends only public match or tournament result summaries through the existing Fenrir website. Neon keeps the publication/subscription preferences, session and event positions, short-lived event records and hashed-account rate limits. Your PC receives only current results from a server you still manage and a channel that is still public and not age restricted. Events cannot control your game, PC, recording or stream. Recording files and highlight markers remain local; no video is uploaded by this feature. See the Privacy Policy for the exact records and retention.
Diagnostics and waitlist spam prevention
Diagnostics and website waitlist submissions also store a keyed network-address digest and up to five attempt times in Neon to limit spam. The raw address and submission contents are not stored in that quota record. IPv4 addresses and IPv6 /64 networks share limits. Inactive records are eligible for cleanup after 24 hours and are removed in batches as later submissions arrive.
Optional website agency applications
If you apply to run a Creator Network on the website, Neon also stores a hashed account reference and up to five application-attempt times to limit spam. Withdrawing does not reset that limit. Application text and contact details are not stored in this quota record. See the Privacy Policy for retention and removal.
Optional website Live Now listings
Nothing is listed by default. You can publish manually on this website or opt in under Settings → Live Now in the app. We store your chosen TikTok username, selected game, consent and timestamps with your Clerk account. The app renews an opted-in listing while connected and requests removal when you stop or disable the setting. A listing expires after one hour without renewal; a failed removal can remain visible until then. Disable app publishing too when opting out on the website, so it cannot renew later.
