Interactive TikTok LIVE, for beginners

An interactive stream is one where your viewers change what happens in your game. A gift can spawn a zombie. A follow can send you an airdrop. You choose the actions for your game.

This page assumes you have never done it before. If you have, the games list is probably what you want instead.

The words people use

These ten terms will help you follow the setup steps.

Interactive stream
A stream where what viewers do changes what happens in your game. A gift spawns an enemy; a follow drops an airdrop.
Trigger
One rule you write: when THIS happens, do THAT. A rose spawns a zombie. That is a trigger.
Action
The thing that happens in the game. Spawning an enemy, giving ammo, turning on god mode. Fenrir ships hundreds, already mapped.
Gift
Something a viewer sends you on TikTok LIVE, which costs them coins and earns you diamonds. Gifts are what most triggers listen for.
Coins
What viewers buy and spend on gifts. A rose is 1 coin; the big ones are thousands. Trigger costs are usually set by coin value so a rare gift does something rarer.
Diamonds
What you receive when someone gifts you. TikTok determines their value and payout eligibility. Gift coin totals are not a reliable measure of earnings.
Overlay
A layer on top of your stream showing gifts, goals, leaderboards or alerts. Fenrir builds one and serves it from your own PC.
Browser source
How OBS puts a web page on your stream. You paste a URL into OBS and it appears as a layer. That is how the overlay gets on screen.
Game mod
Something that changes a game so it can be controlled from outside. Fenrir includes its own game scripts and an experimental GTA runtime. Install the required third-party loaders and any optional mods separately; the selected game's setup instructions in Fenrir explain what you need.
Points
An economy you run. Viewers earn points for watching, gifting or following, then spend them on actions. Your rules, your prices.

What you need

Your first stream

  1. Install Fenrir and open it
  2. Pick your game — it will tell you what that game needs
  3. Let it write the scripts and binds, then launch the game from Fenrir
  4. Start with two or three triggers so they are easy to test
  5. Press Test on each one and watch the game react
  6. Add the overlay to OBS as a browser source, if you want one
  7. Go live on TikTok, then enter your username in Fenrir and connect
  8. Tell chat which gifts and events trigger each action

Four mistakes worth skipping

Free to start, and free to stay. Free plan limits apply; Plus and Pro add more capacity and overlay choices. Connecting to TikTok takes a username rather than a password.
